Debtors
Bankruptcy
Bankruptcy seems to be the common
defense for debtors, but just how common is it?
About half of the
debtors that we are pursuing claim to be in a
position of bankruptcy.
The reality in our practice is that
only about 5 to 10 percent of those folks ever follow through ,
which means on the whole only about 2.5% to 5% of the debtors that we are
chasing actually file bankruptcy. The numbers are certainly in your favor,
not theirs. Debtors
have learns that bankruptcy is the only real leverage that they have over
you. It's our job to know when to call their bluff.
But
more than likely, it won't even come to that. Why? That's easy.
Filing for bankruptcy costs the debtor time and money that they may or
may not have. Additionally, there are long term consequences, like bad
credit, that can haunt them for a long time.
Thus, in order to collect
from people, regardless of their smoke screen attempts at bankruptcy, we have
developed a method to effectively serve you. The most important item on
our agenda is you.
We work for you to
obtain a judgment, and
collect
on that judgment.
The fundamental component of
debt collection is to keep and maintain the debtor's attention. Constant
pressure is our specialty.
And we have it down to a science. So we stay with it until the
result is obtained or we are convinced that there is no point in staying in the
game. We won't waste your money. As soon as we spot someone who has
nothing and has no chance of paying anything, and therefore should not be chased
any further, we will tell you. We want your business on the next case,
too.
